How to do pan and zoom effects on images in Canva
Make cool ads that zoom in and out of your book
Hello Canva Tipsters
You know those lovely product videos you see where they zoom in and out to show you things? I wanted to try and make something like that for books. So I tried it and I quite liked the result.
So this week’s video is a tutorial on how to do zoom and pan effects in Canva. The video I created makes for a good tutorial, but I think it’s unfinished, because I didn’t have a call to action to go on the end.
Why bother with a call to action? Well, with social media, we tend to be scrolling aimlessly. If we stop to watch something, our next action is to automatically resume scrolling … unless someone instructs you otherwise. So tell people to ‘buy now’, or, if you feel weird about being THAT direct, try ‘read now’. If you’re on a social media platform that lets you use links, pop a link in. Make it really, really easy for the person who just looked at your social media post and thought ‘hmm, interesting’ to take the next step and buy your book.
How would you use this effect?
I’m thinking it might be really nice to do one with a Christmassy background and zoom in a book. What do you reckon?
Drop your suggestions in the comments!
See you next week.
