Make an interactive map for a fantasy book
Using Canva, naturally
Hello again!
I’m back … well, sort of. I took a couple of weeks off, not through choice, but because I was exhausted and something had to go. So I parked all the creative things I wasn’t actively being paid to do (because I couldn’t really park the childcare or the eldercare!). I won’t bore you with details. We all know what burnout is all about.
Ruth Long asked me to make her a clickable map for her Feral Gods books ahead of the release of Lore of Silver. I had an idea of how to do it, but it took a bit of working out and I’m so pleased with the result. Ruth kindly let me use it as an example of how to make an interactive map using Canva.
Have you subscribed here? You should probably go do that. You don’t want to miss a post.
All subscribed? Great.
Here’s the video tutorial on how to make a clickable map for your book. It’s perfect for fantasy writers. Although, I’m tempted to make a map for my small town romances now…
Just click on the play button to watch on YouTube.
Was this useful? Are you going to make a map? Tag me if you do. I’d love to see it!
There was something else. Oh yes, please tell all your friends.
I’ll see next week (hopefully) with another tutorial.
Happy designing.
