Hello!
Just a short video this week. In one of the many Canva groups that I’m in, someone asked how they make it look like the character they’ve got on the foreground is actually standing next to the light that’s in the background. They needed to be in the glow of the lamp.
I like a challenge, so I had a go and here’s my take on how to do it. Yes, I know that it’s easier to do it in Photoshop or Procreate, but this newsletter is about Canva, so that’s what I tried it in.
In personal news, I’ve sent the ‘finished’ draft of my next book to a beta reader. I have a week or two before the deadline. Phew. Made it.
Here’s the tutorial. Just click on the play button to watch.
That’s all from me this week. If there’s something you want to know how to make in Canva, just reply to this email me (rhodabaxter@gmail.com) and ask. Or leave a note on Substack. I still haven’t really got the hang of Substack, to be honest.
See you next week. Happy designing!
