Hello!
When I was a kid, I spent a lot of time travelling. My dad’s job took us to live in places like Nigeria, Sri Lanka and Micronesia (Yap, if you want to be specific), so planes were a huge part of my life. So were aerogrammes. When we went to Yap, I was thirteen and being separated from my friends was just about the worst thing that could happen to a person (*dramatic flounce*). I missed my friends, so we wrote letters. My parents kept me supplied with those blue aerogrammes that you folded to make the envelope. I went through loads of them. I rather miss the fun of opening and reading letters. I guess a newsletter is the closest thing we have now to letters. Feel free to reply to this one!
This week, I’ve decided to tap into that joy of travel and show you how to make a plane transition. This is ideal if you’ve written a book about a character who travels, or if you’ve written a book about travel.
Here’s the video. Just click on the button to watch it on YouTube. (And see if you can spot the typo in the video I ended up making!).
If you find these tutorials useful, please tell all your writer friends!
See you next week.
