Hello Canva Tipsters
I don’t know about you, but I hate it when the supermarket moves things around. I have a system and it’s forcing me to wander around looking for things instead (I know that’s the point! They’re hoping I might see something I don’t usually get and impulse buy … and they’re usually right, but I still hate it).
I’m not a huge fan of change.
Last week, with much fanfare, Canva launched its new ‘glow up’ interface. A lot of the features they announced at the Canva Create event were … not all that new, but they’d made it easier for big companies to use. Since we’re often just one person, trying to make all the graphics for a book launch or something, these features that useful.
The new interface was made available to 1 million people - you had to ‘find’ it. The million has been reached now, so if you missed it, you’ll have to wait until they do a proper roll out. As far as I know, there isn’t a firm date for the rollout yet, but it is ‘coming’.
So, this week, I’m doing a walk-through of the new interface (before I go back to the old one for the next few tutorials). A sneak peek, if you will. It’s a more informal sort of video today. Here’s the link to the video.
Personally, I like the new layout because the bright white makes it easier for me to see things, but I’m someone who puts the big light on to watch TV,, so you may feel differently. If, like me, you’re worried about where the heck your favourite buttons have gone - this video should put your mind at rest. I don’t think anything has disappeared.
Have you got access to the new interface? What do you think? What do you like about it? What annoys you? Let me know (because I’m very nosy).
See you next week*
