It’s been a busy week - I went to Ireland to attend Octocon 2024, which was tremendous fun. Then, yesterday, I had an article about Canva on the Bookbub blog!
https://insights.bookbub.com/ways-authors-use-canva-book-marketing/ - if you want to check it out.
All the travelling has left me exhausted, so I wanted to make social media posts that were really quick and easy. The simplest way to do that was to use a template.
So this week’s tutorial is how to adapt a Canva template to make a lovely autumnal ad. Remember, you’re telling the reader how the book will make them feel. Right now, people want to feel cosy.
Here’s the link to the video. Just click on the play button to watch on YouTube.
If you found this useful, please tell all your author friends. I don’t have a paywall for this newsletter and YouTube is free, so it won’t cost them anything and they might learn how to make something fun.
I’ll see you next week with another tutorial. Have fun playing with Canva!
Regards
Jeev
I need some inspiration about these reel things - I studied film-making and like making short videos but sometimes I feel as if the joy is sucked out of online. It’s somewhere I like being but I don’t like constant criticism as to my work or working methods on here or the cloud of suspicion that sometimes seems to hang over the whole thing.
