After last week’s very popular episode about using Canva to help your plotting, this week I’m looking at what’s new with Canva in their new October update (or ‘Droptober’ as they call it). Most of the update is about their whizzy new AI studio - which I use only with caution. [I have thoughts about AI, particularly the difference between generative AI and other, non-generative AI tools, but that’s not for today]. Today, I’ll be going through the different text and photo animation options available in Canva. They’ve added a few new image animations - some of which are quite neat.
You can combine an image of your book and some text overlay to make a surprisingly effective ad for your book. In this world where everything has whistles and bells, sometimes it’s nice to have a calmer, more restful image. After all, reading is about rest.
